Friday Night Contra Dance

LOCATION CHANGE: While the Labor Day Art Show is in the Spanish Ballroom, the Friday-night Contra Dance will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Center, 1 One Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Contra is a fun and easy dance, and darn it, you need more dancing in your life! No experience needed! Come alone or with friends! All ages. All genders. All body types. Penelope Weinberger calls to the music of Some Assembly, which is Mary Flora (woodwinds), Donna Boylan (keyboard), Adam Lee (guitar), Joe Klausner (fiddle/mandolin), and Iain Sturrock (cajon). The lesson is at 7:30 pm, the dancing starts at 8:00 pm and goes until 11:00 pm!
