Salsa Latin Afrobeats

The best Latin night in DC takes place right here at Bossa every Saturday night with Tumbao! Starring a pan-American assortment of fiery and consummate musicians, Tumbao – headed by the incomparable Jorge Martinez (Cuba) on keyboard; and featuring Verny Varela (vox), Manuel Hernandez (El Salvador) on bass, Gustavo Estrella (Ecuador) on congas, and Ralph Esquenazy (U.S.) on timbales – is the epitome of the quintessential Latin band. Armed with the area's best of the best in the biz, Tumbao gets the joint jumping weekly with hot rhythms from Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, and more (sometimes they even throw in a Brazilian song in homage to the house!).
