Live Music at Bossa

Alfredo Mojica is a cornerstone of the DC salsa community. Born in Central America, he is a consummate percussionist and vocalist who began performing at a tender age with such legends in the field as Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colón, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, El Gran Combo, Ray Barretto, and others. Watching Alfredo move flawlessly between timbales, congas, or bongos while belting out salsa classics in his own amorous and heart-jolting style is quite a thing to behold. He is joined on the Bossa stage every Friday night by an ebullient and first-class roster of musicians, sure to have you breaking a sweat on the dance floor with salsa, bachata, merengue, and more. Come prepared to twirl and be twirled!
